Yakuza PS3 Screens: Boobs and Turtle Racing

Though Sega has yet to announce the game for a North American release, we felt that the latest shots and character renders from the latest Yakuza were worth posting anyways. Known in Japan as Ryu ga Gotoku Kenzan!, the third entry in the Amusement Vision-developed brawling franchise is the first of the series to hit PlayStation 3.

While the past two PlayStation 2 entries took place in the modern era, Kenzan appears to be set in the Edo period of Japanese history. It is slated to arrive in Japan in early 2008, the same general time period provided for the North America release of Yakuza 2.

The body on that first pic is surprisingly photoreal. What does it is the way they made the muscles around the femur (not sure what this muscle group is called) squish realistically around the calf muscles. Also the way the (her) right boob is positioned differently from the left. The only thing that gives it away from a photo is the polygon edges and the plastic look of the face. Impressive for polygons.

afaik yakuza 1 and 2 never even came to the US so why the fuck should we care about yakuza 3

I read a magazine that yakuza 1 was awesome but yet it still was never translated probably due to adult content so fuck all these US publishers who don't have the balls to put out a "AO" rated game. On that note, has there EVER been an AO game released since ESRB was started? Maybe leisure suit larry but I seriously doubt it

I've never played a Yakuza game... but I thought they took place in modern times. This looks a bit... Meiji Restoration.
