Free Lumines Port Released on PC

Q Entertainment and WildGames have joined forces to bring Tetsuya Mizuguchi's music-based puzzle title Lumines to PC players.

Offered on the applicable WildGames site, Lumines includes five modes of play and an online leaderboard. The game is free to download, with a short ad playing before it launches. The advertising-free version can also be purchased for $20.

For those who hate WildTangent, this is playable without WT. I'm not sure if it's legal though - does the steam version come with WildTangent? If not I assume this is ok, but I won't post anything here until I know. My email is bobblybook[at]gmaidot]com if you have questions or can answer mine :)

This is acting really weird with my mouse (mx1000) as soon as I get into the game it just constantly rotates through the menus so I cant select anything, and if I do manage to I can't even move the blocks from side to side :(.

Does this have the new shapes and special blocks like the mobile version? Lumines Mobile is way better than the original because of that.

Shouldn't they have made the ad-free version cost like $5.00? I mean at least then it would be a nice nod to the devs and you'd remove the ads. At $20 it seems like very few people will actually donate.

fucking hell! I got to level 45 and all of the sudden the keyboard control stopped working, the mouse control still worked but by then I was already screwed. lol Addicting as hell, but I keep waiting for something better to happen with the gameplay.
