Previously only available to Xbox 360 users within the United States, an international version of the Xbox Live Video Marketplace will launch in Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, and Germany on December 11.

Though those within the United States are able to purchase television shows and rent films through the download service, the international store will only offer movie rentals at first. In the UK, standard definition movies will start at 250 Microsoft Points (£2), while the HD renditions will begin at 380 Microsoft Points (£3.20).

Films said to be available when the store debuts in the UK and Ireland include such Warner Brothers-distributed titles as 300, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Eyes Wide Shut, Mars Attacks!, Superman III, and Zodiac.
