GTA4 Box Art Revealed, New Trailer Next Thurs.

Rockstar Games has revealed the box art for Grand Theft Auto IV (PS3, X360) on the game's official site.

The company also announced that the third teaser trailer--entitled "Move up, ladies"--will be released on Thursday, December 6 at 3p.m. EST. The past two trailers can be found over at FileShack.

Originally slated to release on October 16, the Rockstar North-developed Grand Theft Auto IV was delayed until early 2008 following reports that the game was experiencing technical difficulties. As publisher Take-Two chairman Strauss Zelnick put it, the company wanted to "make sure that Grand Theft Auto IV is a groundbreaking gaming experience that takes maximum advantage of next generation technology."

It was touted that the step up from gta 2 to 3 will be less than gta 3 to 4. I wonder how that can be possibly accomplished short of an AC style crowd mechanic. i mean 2D -> 3D is a pretty damn big jump.

You know after playing Mass Effect (great game by the way), the constant loading of textures is a little annoying. Watching them pop-in is jarring. I'm afraid the the xbox360 version of this may have the same issues, if they don't use the hard drive.

I was wondering about the launch date of this. I doubt we will see it before next fall, doesn't make sense to launch it in the spring or summer. I think they will take the year to polish it up and promote it at E3.
