Ubisoft Promises Assassin's Creed PS3 Patch

10
Ubisoft is currently working on a patch to resolve the freezing issues some are experiencing with the PlayStation 3 version of Ubisoft Montreal's Assassin's Creed. The pre-meditated murder simulator was released earlier this month on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with the PC version planned for an early 2008 release.

"We can confirm that we are actively working on a game update," UK Community Manager UbiRazz posted on the game's official message board. "This update will help improve the stability of the game and will be released as soon as possible."

Do you in fact have to kill to proceed, or can you play the whole game through without killing anyone, as in the Thief series games?

You have to whack a lot of people pretty indiscriminately. If nothing else, people get stabbified for little reason in cutscenes many times, and a solid quarter to third of the 360 achievements seem to revolve around killing/fighting large amounts of people.

You can probably escape the guards without killing anybody, which would actually make an interesting challenge.
