Since I subscribe to the "lowest common denominator" theory of game development, I'm starting to get the impression that Playstation 3's wonky use of discrete memory for system and video isn't a big deal. If a game is on both systems, chances are developers will make it work on both equally.
So, this leads us to the real fight: console exclusives. Xbox has already come out swinging with its heavy hitters: Gears of War, Halo 3, and Mass Effect. Playstation has some lesser known beauties (Heavenly Sword, Drake's Fortune, and Ratchet and Clank) available, but the big guns are still under construction (MGS, FFXIII). Who wins this battle? In the long run, where are the better exclusives going to be found?
In my opinion, after the big price drop to $400, the PS3 is starting to look mighty tempting. Of course, this comes hours after I drop some serious coin on an XBox, and it hasn't even arrived in the mail yet. I was going to title this post: "I think I made a HUGE mistake", but I'm hoping my "Buyer's remorse" is temporary and misguided.

At one point, a bunch of us, lakren, deveus, moonbase, shortbuscaptain, and a few others decided to try all one-class teams... It didn't work out to well, but it was quite hilarious to see it. We did all spys, all engineers, and all scouts as well, but I didn't get any shots of those.

Boy, what a let-down. It pales in comparison to the original in almost every way. There was no foreboding sense of dread, the characters weren't very deep overall, the construction was stilted and sometimes illogical, and it had a obvious ending that wasn't shocking like I'm sure it was intended to be. Some of the camera work was really nice, I liked the music, and the political themes were ok (but not great). Though 28 Days Later is admittedly weak in the final act, it still managed to feel like the sort of movie I'd never seen before with an attention to detail and understanding of mood and subtlety that is rare. 28 Weeks Later wasn't even really a good movie on its own, much less a worthy successor to Boyle's film.

They are offering a free PS3 with a Ratchet and Clank in return for a 24month contract at £19.99 a month.
This seems like an insanely good deal, assuming their broadband is not a steaming pile.

I've just moved house, and am in need of broadband.
Previously I used Freedom2Surf, and they did me OK - the price was right enough too [£24 for 50GB at 8meg], but I'm hearing a few more bad things with them - traffic shaping, etc
My flatmate wants to use... Plus.net... [because they were supposedly ok for him, and they'll offer £10 line rental for the phone with free evening/weekend calls] He refuses to listen to the whole "they're shockingly bad as a business!" thing
Anyway - can anyone recommend a good ISP that's cheap [I'm a student], and has high bandwidth allowances [approx 50GB]

Went into CC at 8, walked in, wasn't too busy, was only hoping to get How I Met Your Mother S1, but they had two of the Samsungs left, I got one to replace my two 19" monitors.
So what is the best/easiest way to calibrate this thing?

I remember seeing blade runner as a kid (9) and being bored. Super android is like a candle burning twice as bright but half as long. I want to rewatch it since i know i will like it now that i'm older.
Should i watch the original theatrical release or the director's cut (which apparently omits the voiceover, happy ending and adds some romance) ?

No these aren't the kind of rockets you may have launched in 2nd grade. while I still have a few of those, the kind I'm talking about are much bigger and can go much higher and faster. Some larger ones even break the sound barrier (and a few disintegrate when they do that as well).
Because these take larger motors that use ammonium perchlorate instead of black powder (AP is the same stuff they use in the space shuttle's SRBs) then it has to be regulated.
The typical Estes type rocket is around 1 inch in diameter and under 2 feet long. My V2 is 3.5 feet long and 4 inches in diameter. I recently built a 1/4 scale Patriot that is 4 inches in diameter and almost six feet tall.
To get an idea of what these launches are like, here is a compilation of a few http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vApfcJkf85A
Also check this one out http://www.pmwonline.org/multimedia/walt_ub/overall_320x240.wmv (65 megs) It's a video of these same guys launching a rocket on a P motor. That's about as big as they come, amateur-wise). That was the first P motor launched in Alabama. The rocket weighed 212 pounds and went to 12,000 feet.

Anyone travel to the states yet to pick up a copy? I don't know if I can tollerate the wife much longer asking me when it's going to be out. I'm in Ottawa so it's only an hour drive down to Ogdensburgs Walmart and pick up a copy. Just wondering how much it would cost for Dutys ( I would probably say I bought it)

The game continually gives me blue screens (the first few acts worked fine). Every other game I have runs fine, including Crysis.
I would recommend on holding off on GoW if you are thinking about purchasing it. Maybe if they patch it, I'll be able to play through the rest. :[

Is this ethical business practices? Is it ethical since these stores don't sell the products we sell? It just seems kind of shady to me going to other stores and kind of soliciting their customers.
I instead just went to the businesses and gave them to their managers to have him give to the employees, not the customers.
Is it even any kind of offense?
