The North American Release List of 11/18 - 11/24
by Chris Faylor, Nov 18, 2007 9:48am PSTAs always, we focus on all of this week's upcoming North American titles across PC, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, and Nintendo DS. Click on any of the platform names to go directly to that system's listing. Before we begin, a few notes. Barring any unforeseen delays, most stores should have the below games by Wednesday, November 21. You'll be able to find Rock Band (PS3, X360) and Mass Effect (X360) at retailers Tuesday morning, however, don't forget that Rock Band won't be available in Canada until December 17. I'm so very sorry Canada. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS3) shipped a bit early, which should explain its absence from this list. Lastly, I'm not ignoring PSP, it just doesn't have any games coming out this week. It may be that I'm halfway interested in modding for it (though I don't know if I will but it seems like an interesting platform)...and it may be that I have noticed a lack of faster paced games that also have a large scale teamplay element with vehicles (and UT3 is a little slow for my tastes...but its faster than most games these days). I love TF2 (though I only get to occasionally play it on weekends because it doesn't have bots and I can't get broadband) and ETQW...but I'm always looking for more fast paced fun FPS games (or fun games in general...though this backfires as I have a huge stack of unplayed stuff). I just don't want to see this game get fixed with regards to the UI and browser and then totally ignored and hated (and yeah there are issues...but I fear that all the hate will remain even if they fix it in a speedy manner). I realize that some people don't like the gameplay and thats A-OK...I mean I don't like CS's gameplay much at all...but I have no bone to pick with people playing it (though its huge popularity is something I just don't understand I guess).
On a side note...I'm getting Mass Effect for Christmas...it and SMG and Crysis...as those I will really really look forward to making it that much better when it rolls around, and it gives me time to beat some of the games I have.

There's lots of sequels (*yawn*), a couple spin offs, and nothing that has grabbed my face and said "BUY ME, YOU BITCH!"

Seriously though, I'm just hoping that it doesn't dry up after Brawl. I'm fine with a dry December / January. That'll give me time to actually digest all these games.

For all of these titles, I'm buying nothing until January. Let the first adopters sort it all out
