by Chris Remo, Nov 16, 2007 5:25pm PSTShackCast 18 starts off with some discussion of this week's news: upcoming Ghostbusters and Terminators games, the upcoming Kane and Lynch movie, downloadable Xbox games coming to Xbox 360, dates and prices for Rock Band downloadable content, and the just-announced spectator mode for Super Smash Bros. Brawl on Wii. There are also substantial impressions of BioWare's Mass Effect (X360), Nintendo's Super Mario Galaxy (Wii), and Naughty Dog's Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS3), some goofier-than-usual reader mail, and a Jam Sessions contest song by Remo, with lyrics by Shacker AndyGoin. And talking about new exciting games for next year, what about Star Wars: the Force Unleashed?. The concept video looks amazing, and the Wii version will be the first one to have laser sword fighting with the Wiimote..it can be very good or waaaay bad (Fingers crossed). Do you know if they will release it in PC?.
I still think the ShaCkcast has a lot of room for improvement but it seems like you guys are taking the feedback on board (both positive and negative). A few quick points I suggest is for conversations to stay on topic more of the time, and for people to not interrupt each other so much.
Keep up the good work. Looking forward to next week.

There was another, more adventure-style game called Terminator: 2029 (still first person, but more like Wizardry dungeon or Bard's Tale style movement, with a target cursor)...
Then there was Terminator: Rampage, which was a horrible HORRIBLE game (I think it was the Wolf3D engine, but Doom was already out IIRC)

I agree with a lot of things you guys point out, but I have a lot of things I wish I could throw in there all the time, but its good, you guys have good convo.
Anyway just wanted to let you know keep it up, this is my first subscribed podcast. And from the one a few weeks ago, I completely agree with the bouncing tits stuff from GH3, why is that in guitar hero ugh.

Do you not have high hopes for it? Or you just haven't seen enough to put it on the radar?

The voice acting cracks me up.
Huey Lewis and the News is the band they approached and didn't want to be involved for whatever reason. The song that Ray Parker Jr. was accused of ripping off was "I Want A New Drug" by Huey Lewis and the News.
