Resident Evil 5, Devil May Cry 4 Trailers, Not Demos, on Resident Evil: Extinction DVD, Blu-ray

Update: Capcom has clarified to Shacknews that the "demos" of Devil May Cry 4 and Resident Evil 5 included in Resident Evil: Extinction are non-interactive trailers.

Original Story: The DVD and Blu-ray editions of the third Resident Evil movie, Extinction, will include some type of demo for Resident Evil 5 (PS3, X360) and Devil May Cry 4 (PC, PS3, X360), reports High-Def Digest.

It is presently unclear if the demos are playable, or just video demonstrations of the upcoming titles. Though Capcom's Devil May Cry 4 has been announced for PC, Resident Evil 5 has not, suggesting that if they are indeed playable titles, the demos of the Blu-ray version would only be supported on PlayStation 3.

Sony's involvement with the feature film also indicates that, if the demos turn out to interactive, they may only be playable on the PlayStation 3. Devil May Cry 4 releases in February, whereas Resident Evil 5 is slated for a vague 2009 release.

The DVD and Blu-ray versions of Resident Evil: Extinction arrive in North American stores on January 2. Shacknews has contacted Capcom for more details.
