Man, not too many reactions to that Universe at War demo. Star Wars: Empire at War was pretty underwhelming, I'll have to see if Petroglyph did better with this one.

Lastly, grand jury indicts Barry Bonds for being a dick. Or maybe lying about cheating.

    I find it weird that that aren't any Crysis discussion threads yet.

    I haven't beaten it yet, but I cant get over how good of a game is it. I don't mean just the graphics, which are mind boggling even on my modest system, but how good it looks, especially in some of the levels... I'd guess about halfway through the game. The AI is insane - yeah sometimes they do some braindead stuff like not notice when I've stun darted the guy next to them or don't react quite right when they get shot, but generally speaking they're super good at working as squads and tracking me. They do tend to clump up which is nice for well place nades.

    I think the demo was a little weird because in a way it's not super representative of the game. It's easy to see how people could play that and dismiss the game as Far Cry 2, but the game really does feel different, especially in the later parts.

    In other news, the submachine gun is surprisingly good. I hated abandoning the SCAR cause it's such a nice looking gun (anyone who's played the demo probably had this problem - none of the enemies carry one so eventually you run out of ammo for it) but later in the game I started running out of ammo for the AK-47 looking gun and had to switch to the SMG. I popped a silencer and a laser sight on it and it's the deadliest medium range weapon I've found so far. I think cause it has a higher ROF and relatively low kick.

    But I hate the 2 weapon restriction in the game. I'll never give up my sniper rifle (I mean, are you kidding? In a game where you have countless opportunities for sniping), so it's really a one weapon restriction. If it was 3 then I'd be able to use the shotgun occasionally, cause I'm not about to give up a silenced option. :(
