      Rather they both had the potential to be interesting and cool, instead they just got mere hints of both and then offed. If they'd kept the Maul~Sidious dynamic going and jettisoned all the Christopher Lee Dooku shit in AOTC, I'd have been happier with it. More space/time to full develop the characters. Make Maul REALLY badass by wiping out Qui Gonn and then disappearing, throwing some spanners into the work of the republic on his way by fucking some shit up. i.e. causing them massive casualties during their space attack or the robot war.
