            Seriously, it is a HUGE deterrent from actually posting more when you are first starting out when so many threads are about how terrible lurkers are, and the general elitist attitude of a lot of Shackers (whether they/we try to exude it or not).
            
            When I was starting out, was around the CSS tournament in October 04 and that was probably the only reason I felt accepted, otherwise it would have been too intimidating. Of course then WoW came along and made me not post for a year, but that's a different story ;-)
