Evening Reading

So as I imagine most of you noticed we have indeed begun to roll out a few more changes around here in the layout. I'm hoping to actually make the main news column even a bit wider in the coming weeks but we of course still have to play nice with 1024x768 and IE6 which is never easy.

Lastly, you thought you heard the last of net neutrality?

no art other than the screenshots and cover. it's greytone, even.

Pains me to realize stuff like that. Ah, how I miss the good old days and the nice three-part manual half of which was devoted to backstory and everything coming with Homeworld.

it's pretty sparse and disappointing, actually. :( just all the basic stuff to know, i learned it all mostly intuitively during the beta. there isn't even mention of the two upcoming character classes.

I don't think the two upcoming classes are official yet.

I thought the manual was more informative than many, but it's not nearly as good as many from the past.

Fuck game manuals. Waste of paper. Same with the game box. A waste of paper. SOMEONE THINK OF THE ENVIRONMENT!

Sir I do not think you will find that game boxes are a waste of paper rather it is empirically proven that your mother is the waste of paper in question.

The manuals were huge, but there was also a book with each game with details on every plane in the game, that book was usually bigger than the manual. I think I have still have those somewhere.

Madden for the Wii had a shitty manual. For all the different crazy controls that game has, it needs a better book.

The Whitcher manual is a huge beast. I'd rather it wasn't, TBH, as I have better things to do than read game manuals, like play games or read the internet!

(I don't know if it's a good, worthwhile manual yet, nor whether you have to read it to get the most out of the game. I haven't even played the game yet.)
