Kane & Lynch Now Gold, Retailing One Week Early

Io Interactive's heist squad shooter Kane & Lynch: Dead Men (PC, PS3, X360) has gone gold, and publisher Eidos has announced the title will ship to stores one week early, available for purchase on November 14.

The duo-centric shooter curiously lacks an online cooperative mode for the campaign, but features an online quasi-cooperative mode in the form of the Fragile Alliance multiplayer game type. The eight-player matches of Fragile Alliance will pit all eight human opponents against AI-controlled cops in a heist, but players will need to betray their auspicious allies to make away with the cash.

Before Kane & Lynch, Danish developer Io Interactive created the Hitman series as well as squad shooter Freedom Fighters (PC, PS2, GCN, Xbox). For more information, check out the Shack's preview of the game.

No online co-op pushes this a few places down on my purchase list. If it's not online, I can't play the co-op.

Same here. Co-op was the main reason I was interested in this game.

split screen sucks.... I can't believe this does not have online coop.... I thought that was the ENTIRE purpose of the game. Like Army of Two....
