Kane & Lynch Now Gold, Retailing One Week Early
by Carlos Bergfeld, Oct 31, 2007 12:59pm PDTIo Interactive's heist squad shooter Kane & Lynch: Dead Men (PC, PS3, X360) has gone gold, and publisher Eidos has announced the title will ship to stores one week early, available for purchase on November 14. The duo-centric shooter curiously lacks an online cooperative mode for the campaign, but features an online quasi-cooperative mode in the form of the Fragile Alliance multiplayer game type. The eight-player matches of Fragile Alliance will pit all eight human opponents against AI-controlled cops in a heist, but players will need to betray their auspicious allies to make away with the cash. Before Kane & Lynch, Danish developer Io Interactive created the Hitman series as well as squad shooter Freedom Fighters (PC, PS2, GCN, Xbox). And yet there's no online co-op mode?
It just fell right off my to-buy list.

I loved the premise, so here's hoping I am dead wrong.
