About the Animal Crossing letters and possible shenanigans -

On the DS, one way to sent a note was to buy a note in a bottle from Tom Nook, write a note, and chuck it out to sea. Next time you someone visited your town, or you visited someone else', you could get a note in a bottle washed up on your shore later. It could be from anyone you came in contact with, so if someone had a lot of people in their town that you visited, it could be from any one of those people. Being as I visited Shacker towns, I had some interesting notes wash up. My favorite was a suicide note from redfive.

Totally agree with you Remo about the whole AI situation. I never really feel like they enemies are smart or cunning, mostly I'm looking to shoot them in the face. In particular if you replay Half Life 1, the AI is not really good simply that you as Gordon are put in a few situations where they seem to be smart...but actually they just have a ton of hitpoints. I honestly can't think of a single game where I thought that I was dealing with an enemy that was even remotely human. I JUST LIKE TO KILL.

Right on about the Hellgate interface problems. Another big problem for me is how the chacter and inventory screens are now one big screen that takes up the whole monitor and takes you out of the game. There is no way to open the inventory and use an item while stil controlling the character and it's really annoying considering it was so easy in Diablo 2.

Perfectly timed...I have a 4 hour drive into Pittsburgh tommorow for a Doctor's appointment...so this will at least kill some of the travel time (in addition to Zelda DS...I like to multitask when I'm driving you see...I just put the stylus in my mouth and hang onto the DS with my left hand while I steer with the right...actually I'm car-pooling down there with my Mom, as she also has a Doctor's appointment down there too...so on the way down she'll drive and I'll play Zelda DS, and then I'll drive and she'll play Brain Age or NSMB or Sonic DS while I listen to the shackcast at least part of the time).

i didn't remember having problems equipping mods in hellgate. open the inventory, and i think you shift click on the weapon you want to mod, not F setups on the bottom - the actual ones in the middle, then drag your mods over. its either shift click or the radial click thing.

you were doing like 10 extra steps. but yeah, the UI and inventory is pretty bad.
