Crysis Public Demo Delayed Again, Now Oct. 27
by Chris Faylor, Oct 26, 2007 8:16am PDTIt seems the shenanigans involving the single player demo of Crytek's upcoming PC-intensive shooter have no end. Fansite inCrysis now reports that the demo, which includes the Sandbox 2 real-time level editor, will not be released for public consumption until Saturday, October 27. However, it will be available for download today to those who pre-order the game from the online EA Store.

Why is he able to hold his rifle straight in one hand without ANY adjustment in height while gripping a guy by the throat? Maybe it looks better in motion, but it looks like that hand just "appeared" rather than leaving his gun causing it to fall a little. I watched the video where this happened but I can't remember how the animation looked.

It's no big deal but it's just hilarious that they think holding a demo for a day is going to do anything but annoy potential customers.

I bet the demo feedback/hype from those who get the demo early will be far more positive than when us non-pre-ordering peasants get to play it. Quite a clever marketing trick, really!
