Greg Slovacek dug up this article in French (you can use BabelFish to translate) which has some side by side images of the V5-5500 and the GeForce256. Of course the V5 was only running in 16bit at the show, and they have 32bit color working now so it's a little pointless. Figured you guys would like to see anyways. They also have this snapshot of the Voodoo5. I also dug up these images of Quake3 using the T-Buffer I never used: [shot1] [shot2] [shot3] [shot4] [shot5]. This is an interesting quote though, even at 16bit:

"...the visual quality between the 2 cards is imesurable. in the voodoo5s favor"

  • If you beleive all those rumours about fillrate, you should beleive Glaze3D products too. The test boards 1200 & 2400 are expected in following 2 months. Thats 1200 MP and 2400 MP of fillrate, yes that\'s almost 1 time faster than V5 6000 and they think they\'ll release 4800 in Q4. They claim it will support FSAA, 32 bit, sort of T&L and so on.

I\'m not saying it will be better than V5 or NV15, but if it\'s true what Bitboys say, it\'s gonna rock.
    Check http://www.glaze3d.com/

3dfx claims that FSAA will not make any fps loss on V5 5500 & 6000 boards, but i don\'t think that\'s gonna be the case.

Lets wait 3 months, and then buy the optimal gfx card. speed/quality/price
