Commando 3 Coming as Downloadable Title
by Carlos Bergfeld, Oct 18, 2007 12:31pm PDTJoining Bionic Commando (PS3, X360) in recently resurrected Capcom franchises, top-down run-and-gun Commando 3 will be arriving on Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network this winter. A followup to the Commando series of arcade games that began in 1985 with Commando, followed by Mercs in 1990, Capcom announced the new title this week at its London Gamer's Day. Coming from developer Backbone Emeryville, the game will feature three-player cooperative play complete with co-op vehicles. The cast of characters comprises former marine Animal, female operative Smoke, and demolition man Boomer. The game will cost 800 Microsoft Points ($10) on Xbox Live Marketplace or $9.99 from the PlayStation Store. Though it was announced in London as an upcoming European release, the game's American developer essentially assures a North American release as well.
