Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 Co-op Collection Coming To Xbox Live Marketplace

7

Owners of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 will be happy to know there will be a reason to pop in that disc again soon, as Ubisoft will release a new set of co-op and adversarial maps through an Xbox Live Marketplace package titled Co-op Collection. The Co-op Collection will come with nine maps; four of them adversarial exclusive, five others shared with co-op. Most of the maps are based on levels from the original Ghost Recon and Ghost Recon: Island Thunder, but two of the adversarial maps are brand new. New achievements will be included as well, adding a total of 110 points to the game. Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 Co-op Collection will be released next month.

This game could have been so really really great in co-op, but it's not...
Because you can't talk to friends if you die. Some ignorant fools used the argument that "it is realistic"; you can't talk if you are dead. Obviously these people don't really know what being dead means. And if you want realism you really wouldn't want to play =/
This is a game. Games are ment to be enjoyed. People opting for "realism", regarding the voice communication in GRAW have no clue about what makes a game good in co-op. Being able to talk to your friends is a must.

well if your doing 2 person co-op, you can fix that by just setting up a private chat over Xbox live, then you'll be able to talk regardless of whats happening in the game.

If your playing with a bunch of people I can understand why that would be frustrating? I never played the game much online, does it not allow you to talk at all? Or can you only talk to other dead people ala counter-strike. Also, why is it so important to talk when your dead, would that give you or your team some sort of advantage or something, maybe that is why they did it.

So they fixed the private chat now so that MORE than two people can join?

Oh... Probably not, and next you'll say I'm a fool because "WHY ON EARTH WOULD ANYONE WANT TO TALK TO MORE THAN ONE PERSON AT THE SAME TIME?" or some other clever respons.

I'm sorry for you who probably don't play games with your friends. When we play, on PC that is, we all use a Ventrilo server so everyone can talk to each other.

I spent a lot of time playing it co-op with other shackers when it came out. The missions were fun and I liked how a couple of them made team work and communication more important by having to complete tasks at the same time. I look forward to this.

Depends if you like realism or want a casual game. I am sure some people like that. I say make it an option to turn on or off.

        But realism?!
There is a point where simulated realism takes away from enjoyment.

If max realism is what the player want, the game should only be able to be played until you die. Then you can't play it any more. Or even better, someone from MS Live would monitor your character and when you get shot, someone comes home to you and puts bullet in your head. Now that would be realism.
When playing a friendly co-op, we WANT to be able to talk to each other... It's a social thing for crying out loud.
The developer really f'ed this one up in my mind.
