by Chris Remo, Oct 10, 2007 3:11am PDTConfirming longstanding rumors, Nintendo has revealed that Sega mascot Sonic the Hedgehog will rumble with Mario and co. in the company's upcoming online battle royale Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii). Sonic will become the second confirmed character in the game not native to Nintendo systems, following the inclusion of Metal Gear's Solid Snake, added upon the insistence of creator Hideo Kojima. The news has been confirmed on the official Smash Bros. site, which contains screenshots as well as a trailer showcasing plenty of Sonic spin-dash action. "The one whose Smash appearance has been most desired dashes in from far away at supersonic speed," the site bafflingly reads.
Along with the revelation came news that the game has been delayed in Japan until January 28, 2008. While there is no explicit word on a change in North America from the game's previously announced December 3 shipment target, the official North American site ominously lists a release date of "TBD."

I clearly remember commercials to that effect from back in the day. That the speed of the side scrolling was indicative of the power of the system. I can't find the commercial on youtube though, so I may be smoking crack.

He'd insult other players as well as you, wouldn't be able of fighting (just fleeing), and would ignore your commands 90% of the time.
Also since no arena inclue water, he'd die 30 seconds after the fight starts anyway.
