Engineer on offense, eg CP_GRAVELPIT and CP_DUSTBOWL. Useless beyond belief, here's why: You contribute nothing of actual value to the rest of the team.

"But teleporters, gosh!" WRONG

You would be far more useful as anything that is capable in a fight compared to minor increase in attack rate of at most 1 per 10 seconds for one person. Instead of having a minor boost in speed for that one person you could have whole extra (powerful) gun pointed at the enemies actually defending. Please do something useful instead of "defending" the cap points that can not be taken back.

I hesitate to add snipers to my "no attack because they are useless" list because there are a few rare exceptions where they contribute. For the most part they are not helping much but long range sentry destruction they can do pretty well or eliminating the hidden medic or engineer.

Halo 3 "wtf they have physics for that?!" moment of the day. Apparently sniper bullets can ricochet. I just got done watching a clip where a guy headshots one player, then the bullet banks off the ground, off the wall, then by pure luck headshots another player. You can see the whole path of it in the clip. I'd link it but of course poor bungie.net is being hammered right now. Crazy stuff there though.

I have some questions about Hellgate.

Is it strictly played online? I know that you can solo the game if you want, but the emphasis is on grouping, yes?

It's not an "mmo style" is it? It seems to me it's setup more like Guild Wars than say WoW/EQ, correct? Is there an end game like in Diablo or is it open ended like an MMO?

Is there any PvP?

I've seen videos of first and third person perspectives. Can you switch between them at will, or do you have to have a "gun" in order to do FP?

Are all of the areas instanced? Again, to me it looks like Guild Wars with shared common-areas, but then you go into instanced "play grounds" to do questing. Accurate?

what happens if I request an annual free credit report twice within 1 year? I did it last february through www.annualcreditreport.com but they don't seem to have a username/login that I can go into to check my score again (I forget it!) meanwhile, www.freecreditreport.com seems to have that kind of service, and I'm filling out all the info to get my credit report, but I don't want my credit to get dinged or anything. what'll happen, will it just say "Hey fag pay up if you want the info" or will it give me my credit score and penalize it or something?

yes I'm paranoid about this.

MENZ that enjoy heavier guitar driven music

I've been writing stuff like a sonofabitch lately and it's probably about time that I post at least one of them here. Most are in very drafty states and need tweaking and mixing, etc., but my best personal critic enjoyed this one immensely so I thought I'd post it.

Those of you brave enough to give it a listen, please feel free to comment on what style it resembles, because I honestly have no fucking clue.

You know what sucks about iTunes on OSX? No Mac developer can be fucked making a competitor now, even Audion quid. They're like "iTunes does it best, why bother?" Yeah, I'd like a fast, unbloated, small-window audio player thanks. It sucks having to load my entire fucking library every time I just want to check an audio sample quickly. :\

Last night I saw Heima , the tour movie from Sigur RÃƒÂ³s.

I had goosebumps on multiple occasions, acoustic versisons of classic songs like StarÃƒÂ¡lfur wanted me to cry a bit and the movie was so beautifully shot that Iceland has probably never looked better on film.

Go see this movie if you have any interest at all in Sigur RÃƒÂ³s.

If you haven't ever played or heard of MINERVA, it is probably one of, if not, the best single player Half-Life 2 mod out there. It has a fantastically cryptic story (reminiscent of ILoveBees in my opinion), that intertwines with the story of Half-Life, and has some very haunting original music. Give it a shot if you are craving more Half-Life 2 while you wait for Episode 2.

I guess some of the armor pieces from Halo 3 are bugged? For the past few days I've had the security shoulders unlocked and I've been using them. Tonight I got a handful of achievements I hadn't unlocked yet, and now they're gone? Bummer.
