Quake3 In Top 20

I don\'t agree with so-called expert opinions that the RL should be made the most powerful weapon. What\'s the point of having shitty weapons? I think it\'s more interesting to watch games where there are a few useful weapons.

And if the comments below about the Plasma are true (\"too easy\" to kill with it) then why isn\'t it used all the time?? Maybe it\'s because just like all the other weapons, it\'s useful in certain situations and not so useful in others. Q3 was not made from FFA. If nobody uses it anyway, what\'s the point of removing it?

#197: I\'ve always found the Q3 player movement silky smooth, but then I play on cable and I heard it\'s bad for modem users. Half-Life on the other hand is very jerky even on cable. CS still rocks though.

#143: I meant the Gamespy stats are skewed in UT\'s favor because of warezing. People who wouldn\'t buy the game get to play it. For Q3 only people who buy the game actually get to play it (well, more than UT anyway). That\'s why UT has fewer sales but it\'s not too far in player numbers. Also UT is cheaper and that\'s a factor for a lot of buyers. Cheaper game, easier to warez, now you see why it\'s close to Q3\'s stats on-line.
