Tetris Splash Drops on XBLA Wednesday
by Carlos Bergfeld, Oct 01, 2007 10:14am PDTThe puzzle game everyone's been waiting for hits Xbox Live Arcade this Wednesday: Tetris Splash (not Puzzle Quest). The umpteenth iteration of the title is an aquatic-themed, online-enabled version of the legendary puzzler, available Wednesday for 800 Microsoft Points ($10). Tetris Splash sports four play options: classic Tetris, T-Spin, Combo, and a new screensaver mode. Six players can rock blocks online, or four can play offline on the same screen. The game comes as the first Tetris iteration on the Xbox Live Arcade platform, but it's the second Tetris title to arrive on the Xbox 360 in the states. Mass Media's Tetris Evolution retailed earlier this year for the 360, but featured only four-player online play.

Although I suspect The Tetris Company would not let either of those happen.

Needs more Square mode from New Tetris on N64 tho.
I won't be able to check it out for a week or so, since I'm away from home, so someone look into it for me and lemme know.
