It's sad to see this franchise continually going the way of stupid "tuner" crap and drifting.

I miss the good old days of good cars and MP pursuit mode... EA would get my money if they'd branch off the stupid "street" crap and give me something more like the old NFS games.

You guys are going to absolutely love this game. Great atmosphere, physics, and amazing graphics. It takes the series in a new direction while still retaining the best elements of the Most Wanted/Carbon/ Underground games.

They shouldn't even call it 'Need for Speed' anymore. Good ol' EA, highjack the franchise and then muck with it until you can barely recognize it. Wish they'd leave the franchises alone and create some new ip if that's what they wanted in the first friggin place.

I'm glad Need For Speed is going in this direction. I much prefer racing on a track and not having to worry about cops. I know a lot of people don't like that because NFS has usually been about police pursuits and stuff, but there really aren't that many good racing games on the PC so I'm glad this one does what I like

I don't like the tuner direction need for speed went in, but I don't see how anyone can be totally negative about this game. They seem to be bridging the gap between the old and new Need For Speed series with the much more realistic physics (which I REALLY miss, even though they were never THAT realistic), and the tuner crap that has cluttered the newer episodes in the franchise. I think its important to note that the game also seems to place a lot of emphasis on regular, hardcore racing instead of the tuner-centric stuff. Besides, if drifting was done REALLY well (which it never has been), it could be quite fun.
