Tom Clancy Gets Air Fancy

Adding to the ongoing series of reconnaissance, stealth, and tactical ops titles, Ubisoft announced a new Tom Clancy game today--an untitled air combat game set in the Clancy universe. The title in development by Blazing Angels developers Ubisoft Bucharest will retail for PC and current-gen consoles sometime next year. "The player will experience all the action and excitement of modern air combat, from intense dog fighting to tactical strikes," said Ubisoft Bucharest director Sebastien Delen. The game will give players the chance to be top guns in a sometime-in-the-future setting, defending America against a power-hungry group of mercenaries. Ubisoft Bucharest's experience with the Blazing Angels series of flight combat sims makes the studio a natural choice for the project, and the game will of course support online multiplayer dogfighting. Another recent addition to the Clancy clan of games is Tom Clancy's EndWar, a real-time strategy game from Ubisoft Shanghai set to hit PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 early next year.
