Don't qualify anything you experience as the reality behind American culture ABSOLUTELY. I do not deny that there aren't problems with our society, but you pointedly mark physical appearances, mental psyche, and describe Americans by the "redneck" factor. Fine, you can point the finger at every indecent American being, but you forget that it is not just contained in America. It is not Americans who come in all flavors, it's HUMAN beings. The point is, there is no such thing as a benevolent society, and beside whatever quibbling you and other people have had, don't led your anger blind you to some misconceptions.

I live the "American" life as any other American does in the US. I find truth in what you say in some situations, but if I stood back and told you definitvely, than my answer is: not definite. I refuse to live ignorantly and perceive this country (or any other culture) by whatever reality I live, because I know that just as quickly my opinions can do a 180. I hope that what you said is from some momentary anger, a defensive back-against the wall response towards the people in this forum. Because if this is the reality you live my friend, my pity extends to you.
