For a first look at Ninja Gaiden 2 in action, you can now download this video which contains the entire 15 minute presentation of the game during Microsoft's Tokyo Game Show press conference. Unfortunately we'd go broke by offering this as a streaming video for everyone (but we hope to be able to do so in the near future), but Mercury subscribers can click the image below for a HD stream. And of course everyone is welcome to download the high-definition version.

Don't know what to think so far. On the one hand, I do loves me some Ninja Gaiden, even if it reveals my hidden masochistic side.

On the other hand, a lot of stuff doesn't look... new. It looks like an HD expansion pack. Claws = Nunchuk/Flails replacement, Scythe = Bo replacment, Hurricane ninpo = more useful version of Ice ninpo. Guess we'll have to see how this new "execution system" works and if there's any gameplay benefit to it other than looking totally sweet.

In the end, it still looks like a lot of fun, so that'll be enough for my money.

Oh yeah, and the recharging health thing could be a very good change as well. It looks like it'll let you make a few more mistakes/get a little rowdier in combat. Good stuff.

hehe. I just used to equip whatever bracelet it was that gave you recharging health, and hide behind corneres for a while :p

Yeah, as much as I like Ninja Gaiden, Sigma's gameplay was starting to feel old. I was hoping for more of an evolution. Right now I really can't see any substatial differences outside of graphics.
