Smash Bros. Brawl Media Update: Solid Snake, Ice Climbers, Dastardly R.O.B. Squad
by Chris Faylor, Sep 21, 2007 2:57pm PDTFollowing this week's long-awaited confirmation of four-player online multi in Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii), we now present you, gentle reader, with a veritable F.L.U.D.D. of Brawl media. Leading the charge on today's update is Metal Gear protagonist and playable Smash Bros. character Solid Snake demonstrating a variety of his traditional moves and weapons. Snake will also be accompanied in the game by a Smash Bros. Brawl remix of the Metal Gear Solid 4 Love Theme. Alongside Snake, the screens highlight the also-playable adorable brother-sister Ice Climbers tag-team.
A new stage, featuring Meta Knight's Battleship Halberd has been revealed. New assist trophies, items, and summonable Pokemon are illustrated as well, including Fire Emblem's sword-slashing Lyn, a golden hammer, and the water Pokemon Piplup. More of the enemies from the single-player Subspace Emissary adventure have been detailed, including the Roader, Poppant, and R.O.B. Squad. Much like past games in the series, Super Smash Bros. Brawl will allow for heavy customization of the various aspects of its multiplayer matches. Super Smash Bros. Brawl arrives in North America on December 3, 2007.
