Eye of Judgment Pricing, Date Confirmed

SCE Studio Japan's camera-controlled card game/video game hybrid The Eye of Judgment (PS3) will retail for $69.99 when it arrives on October 23. Revealed by SCEA marketing manager Mark Valledor on the official PlayStation blog, the entire Eye of Judgment package includes the PlayStation Eye camera, the game disc itself, a 34-card starter deck, an 8-card booster pack, a play mat, and the Judgment stand, which positions the camera above the card/video game's playing field.

As with other popular customizable card games, such as Magic: The Gathering, game-expanding booster packs will be sold individually at various retailers. The standard booster pack will carry a suggested retail price of $3.75. Five different pre-constructed theme decks will also be available, selling for $14.99 a piece. It's cool,but damn, you have to be really committed to play this game.

Oh, i didn't realize this was a full-blown collectible card game. Not that I have a PS3, but no thanks. I liked culdcept because at least you only had to buy the game and the card collecting happened in-game.
