Xbox 360 Receives Minor System Update
by Chris Faylor, Sep 20, 2007 11:37am PDTMicrosoft today released an extremely minor Xbox 360 system update, which must be installed in order for users to connect to Xbox Live. Much like the August update--which enabled support for Rock Band and Guitar Hero III's upcoming wireless guitars--the only function of today's download was to add support for the big-buttoned buzzers that will be packaged with Screenlife Games and WXP's Scene It? Lights, Camera, Action when it arrives later this year. Discussing the update, Xbox Live director of programming Larry Hyrb, who runs the Major Nelson blog, was adamant that a more feature-packed system firmware update is still planned for release this fall.
