John Carmack also addressed the departure. Also, I got a quick quote from Carmack on the whole Playstation2 tech thing. Next up, 3dfx had a not-so-hot showing at the CeBit hardware show in Germany. The silicon they had wasnt up to snuff and was having 32bit troubles. They put out a statement on the problems, and the next day ArsTechnica dug up this post which gives a date of April for Voodoo4 productions. A few other stories of note are the ClassicCTF release, release of mIRCScout, and some video footage of Q3Fortress.
