Are you ready for another Battlefield game? DICE and EA hope so. They're bringing Battlefield: Bad Company to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 next year. Featuring a single player campaign with destructible environments and sandbox gameplay, players will take a squad of "renegade soldiers" on a "personal quest for gold and revenge." There's multiplayer, too. Check it all out below, in screenshot and trailer format.

I still think the best BF was the original BF1942. I must have played that game for over 1000 hours.
If it was up to me, I'd have them redo WWII because the weapons and aircraft take more skill to get the kill (I love the M1 Garand). Nowadays, nearly all shooters are either modern or futuristic sporting mostly automatic weapons, so all people have to do is spray and pray.

I'm a die hard Battlefield fan. I've owned every version for both PC and BF Modern Combat for the 360. The graphics on the 360 were far and away better than Battlefield 2 for the PC and it shows what's really possible. The big problem is that after playing a ton of the 360 version, I just can't get over how much a console controller hinders you. It's really tragic because the single player and graphics were both really good.

i might have to buy this game hmm.

i hope it has a better menu system than the BF I have played, BF2.

The thing that drives me nuts when I play BF is the rock paper scissors with the classes. If i pick infantry a vehicle stomps me, if I'm anti vehicle infantry stomps me. I always hate it when I feel like I have no chance at all in a situation.

Single Player? Now this is a battlefield I can get behind. I understand an appreciate what Battlefield is, in terms of Team Cooperative Gameplay. But, they haven't made a good one since 1942, I'm glad there giving me something else to do then go online and deal with "those people."

Letting me play the single player game and enjoy that for what it is, will very likely make me much more inclined to participate in the online game.

As a rule, I don't buy Online Only games, because I typically don't want to play online.

MMOs are exceptions, for obvious reasons.

While I agree with using the same music from BF1942. (great music there). Why do they feel the need to 'remix' it so it's barely recognizable, and distinctly 'less great.' They should take a note from LucasArts and use the same classic music for all their trailers just to leach off the good feelings. It's cheap, but it's effective.
