Sony Ambiguously Updates PS3 Firmware
by Carlos Bergfeld, Sep 04, 2007 3:41pm PDTSony has released a "minor" firmware update for the PlayStation 3, bringing the firmware to version 1.92. Sony posted an announcement of the upgrade on the PlayStation Blog, but offered few details of what was included in the mystery update. Sony PR manager Patrick Seybold said in the post the update "focuses on some PS3 compatibility and playability issues for select titles." Sony's blog post on July 23 about the last firmware update to version 1.90 described the enhancements of that upgrade in detail. Shacknews contacted Sony for more information, but has not yet received a response.
