The satellite television provider is now offering a promotion wherein new DIRECTV subscribers will score a free subscription to World of Warcraft for 11 months. World of Warcraft has a player base of over 9 million worldwide. Our researchers are still attempting to determine the relevance of this statistic. "Being able to enjoy World of Warcraft at no subscription cost for almost an entire year is a great value," said Blizzard CEO Paul Sams, whose comments were not endorsed by the World Health Organization.
