Prepare Your PCs: Crysis Demo Next Month

September 25 is sure to bring relief to some lucky PC gamers and premonitions of system upgrade expense to others, as the Crysis single-player demo is released. The demo will contain the first level from the full game, and publisher EA promises it will showcase "a huge surprise from Crytek."

No minimum system requirements were released; Shacknews has contacted EA for more information. Along with the announcement came a new Crysis trailer showcasing the game's power-enhancing Nanosuit:

Same day as the Halo 3 and ET: Quake wars retail releases. While QW is my most anticipated, for the team based MP, I suspect Crysis will make both games cry uncle from an eye-candy perspective.

I really like Far Cry's MP, so if Crysis is at all similar then it will be fun. Dunno how much fun the nanosuit stuff will be in MP though

I've truly never heard that before. It's great that you enjoyed FC's multi. I'm not sure of anyone else who did. :)

Did you ever wish that it was a little more slow and deliberate like the single-player was? It seemed strange to have a run and gun multi when I played MOST of the singleplayer game on my stomach.

I think if they could've varied the maps a bit more instead of the endless jungle environments which I got so 'effing sick of, it would've had more legs.
