First Post!

Lots of good entries in the BioShock contest so far. I picked up the game yesterday, and so far it's pretty much excellent and it's only getting better thanks to the various new tonics and weapon upgrades, and mindboggling beautiful levels.

Movie: I'm assuming you all have guns and crack!

...and unfortunately I just got stuck for the first time. Fort Frolic: Sander Cohen wants to meet in Fleet Hall. So I go there, and the glass plane opens. And thats it. I walk around in there but nothing happens. The second glass door doesnt open, and if I walk upstairs (where the guitar is etc) there's nothing there either.

i was stuck in the same exact place for maybe 20 minutes. I kept going back to the casino areas and back to the main hall to look for something I missed. It was that damned elevator button the whole time. Felt like such an idiot.

Maybe even compounded by that fact that it wasn't shining like everything else in the game.

elevator button! The one where you get in and it says "call elevator press E" and nothing happens. I restarted the game, twice, then finally turned around and saw the button labeled "operate elevator" or whatever.

I killed him when he started talking about his muse box, because I wanted to see what was inside. But there wasn't anything that impressive.

I just beat the game. Good game. The last boss is really easy with the ecto blaster

I am still kind of pissed I couldn't figure out how to get in to that one room in the zone after Fort Frolic Sander Cohen's apartment has a locked room. No idea how to get in to it.

I killed him right after he came down after I finished the art piece for him. I assume if I didn't kill him I would of gone in to his apartment and he would of come in over the radio and said something like "Go to that painting and behind it there is a button to unlock the door" and obviously I didn't get that message since I killed him

Also I was kind of dissapointed by the last level. It lacked much of the charm and story that the rest of the game had Also I loved how you tracked the movements and such of all the actors who were on the tapes and such. However I wish there was some closure on Dr. Suchong. You never found out what happened to him he kind of says that he is joining Fontaine then just dissapears. Same with Security Chief Sullivan he kills that one girl and then nothing.

I thought maybe Sullivan was supposed to be the guy handcuffed to the bed in Fighting McDonough's, but this was somewhat unclear.

It's possible But it is really cool how you can follow in the steps of all the people in the tapes regardless of their fates.

If you didn't kill him when he first came down, you fight him in his apartment and he drops a key when you kill him. That key opens the door. There wasn't really much up there anyways. A recorder and a tonic among other things.

I got stuck near the end of the wharo last night and after a couple of hours of banging around, I just went back to a previous save and redid it, and THAT time the guy I needed showed up.

I just finished last night. Great game. I've read some complaints that people found sticking with one weapon or attack for the whole game kinda bored them, but I liked switching things around. Whenever I'd find myself full of some ammo, I'd switch to that weapon to burn some off. this way I ended up using pretty much everything. But I think I used the machine gun and chem launcher the most.

Also, that second level at the wharf was by far the hardest one. Killing those big daddies without any really decent weapons sucked hard. By the end though, killing big daddies was a piece of cake. If you'd made enough electro juice at the u-invent machines, you could just fire your electro chem at it and kill it without even moving. another easy way was to fire off 3-4 trap bolts and then lure him with a pistol shot to the head. Any health left was easily burned by using one or two electro shots from the SG.
