Xbox 360 Wireless Wheel Recall

9
Following news of the extended Xbox 360 warranty program due to "red ring" deaths of the console, Microsoft today announced that it is recalling the Xbox 360 Wireless Wheel.

The company is taking the step after reports of a component in the $129.99 controller overheating and releasing smoke when using the AC-DC power supply.

Until people have obtained their "retrofit" unit, they are asked to refrain from using the power supply and switching to battery power instead. To have the wireless wheel replaced, visit www.xbox.com/support or call Microsoft at 0800 587 1102.

I thought the smoke forming around me was an effect when turning sharp corners in-game. I was like, "this is ingenious!"
