    No kidding... The art for the Quake series changed directions with Q4, and I don't really like it. It went from surrealistic-dark-cartoonism to sci-fi-horror-realism. I think game developers, in general, have all really been caught up in the realism trap for the past couple of generations because they're all flabbergasted by just how much closer we get with each generation. It's not that realistic art-style don't have their place, but I think there's a serious lack of the style of art direction we're seeing with TF2 in today's PC games.
