Evening Reading

Wow, so that BioShock demo pretty much hammered this place. We were (and still are) pushing out bandwidth by the gigabit. Exact release times really do suck for websites blowing up. How about just giving us like a few hour window or something next time? So then, for this evening I bring you:

Lastly, I've pretty much always known download accelerators do work but I've also always found them annoying. However I recently finally checked out the FireFox dTa plugin and I'm in love with this thing. Awesome and not bloated. I dig it so much I even emailed the developers hoping we can start pushing that thing for people to use at FileShack in an official capacity. If you're a Mercury member give it a shot. Install the thing and then try and download the BioShock PC demo with QuickSilver.

Demand is just too high sometimes. Impossible to handle it I think. I've worked at a few companies where this same thing has happened with all the preparation in the world.

Next time they should ninja the registration...and tell the shack first, of course.
