Super Smash Bros. Brawl Media Update
by Chris Faylor, Aug 20, 2007 10:51pm PDTMore screens and details of Nintendo's incredibly anticipated Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii) have made their way to the internets care of the game's official site. Included in the most recent updates are looks at the funky grooves of Mario's eternal flame Peach and the new Pokemon Trainer character that fights by summoning Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard--all of which share the same health gauge. Fire Emblem's Ike lays the smack down with Aether, while Kid Icarus star Pit summons numerous winged minions in his Final Smash. Meanwhile, the ability to tether onto the nearby landscape has been granted to both Metroid's Samus and Zelda's Link. As far as combat items go, new accessories include the Earthbound-inspired projectile-reflecting Franklin Badge, the smoke ball and a stage-shifting Devil assist. The game also features a robust sticker system that allows players to compose and save illustrates with the adhesive images collected in-game. Super Smash Bros. Brawl is slated to release in North America on December 3, 2007. For more screenshots of the game, check out our main gallery.

The ROB cameos are great. I doubt Sakurai and Co. could even try to make a Smash Bros. game what was inferior to the previous iterations.

It looks so fun, but my friends don't really live around me anymore... It's tough to justify the purchase of the game for multiplayer when I have no friends around.
Are they ever going to confirm online play or what?
