Llamasoft's trippy shooter Space Giraffe and Gaia Industries' battle racer Street Trace: NYC mark this week's additions to the Xbox 360's online Xbox Live Arcade. They will be available on the service in the early hours of Wednesday, August 22.

The brainchild of the sheep-loving Tempest 2000 (JAG, SAT, PC) developer Jeff Minter, Space Giraffe marks the acclaimed creator's first release since his involvement with the Xbox 360 music visualization software. As Minter has repeatedly claimed, the game will sell for 400 Microsoft Points ($5).

Calling to mind Criterion Games' TrickStyle (DC), the hoverboard-oriented racing brawling hybrid Street Trace: NYC features four player splitscreen and eight player matches over Xbox Live along with its single player campaign. Both hoverboards and weapons can be upgraded throughout the 800 Microsoft Point ($10) game.

To coincide with the announcement, Microsoft sent out 13 new Space Giraffe screenshots and 8 shots from Street Trace: NYC.
