Warhammer: Battle March Coming to PC, X360

11
Namco Bandai today announced that the other Warhammer PC strategy series--Black Hole Games' Warhammer: Mark of Chaos--is seeing an expansion release on the PC, as well as an Xbox 360 version including both the expansion and original game.

Warhammer: Mark of Chaos - Battle March adds such standard features as more units, a new campaign, and some new online modes to the PC. On the Xbox 360, Warhammer: Battle March will include all of the original content from Warhammer: Mark of Chaos, as well as the new content. Up to four players to compete in head-to-head or team-based modes, and two control schemes will separate novice and advanced users by their prowess--or lack thereof--with a controller.

Both versions of the game are currently slated for a 2008 release. Namco was kind enough to release both PC and Xbox 360 screenshots.

"the other Warhammer PC strategy series" ?

Is this a reference to Dawn of War? If so, it's probably worth saying something like "other Games Workshop IP" or something, since Warhammer and Warhammer 40k are different.

Or is there another Warhammer game out there that I just haven't heard of?

    Blasted common knowledge!

I was just referring to the name alone. I realize the IPs are different. They both have orcs and shit though, and wacky names like Dawn of War and Mark of Chaos.

True enough. I guess my main beef was with the somewhat-ambiguous reference to something that may or may not be common knowledge, and how it led me to be a little confused.

I was just poking fun at Mark of Chaos, because I think Relic's game is so much more well known.

I'd change it to "the other PC strategy series based on a Games Workshop IP," or something, but I think even less people would understand the difference, and I'm not going to take a paragraph to explain how one has space orks and the other has regular orks.

I, for one, would enjoy reading Space/Regular - A Discourse on Orky Taxonomy by Nick Breckon

What about making the text "Warhammer PC strategy series" a link to some article or news about Dawn of War?
