New Metroid Prime 3 Videos Released

Nintendo has released two more trailers for Retro Studios' Metroid Prime 3: Corruption by way of the game's Wii preview channel. Like the first two updates, today's consists of a narrative trailer paired with a gameplay video. Below, check out a video about the ability-boosting Phazon Enhancement Device, and continue on to the full article to see gameplay of Samus entering her Phazon-powered Hyper Mode.

Wow, talk about a game held back by technology.

No offense, but watching these gameplay videos just remind me of the first Prime, and I agree with the previous post that shooting at something a bazillion times too many is not fun and cheap way to extend a gameplay session. Especially when you know the boss is going to go down in 3 hits once the pattern is figured out.

But everything just looks so dated. Oh well, it'll be an enjoyable gamefly rental...

the gameplay videos sort of worry me. it looks a bit like echoes where enemies had a ridiculous amount of hit points and took forever to kill. there were only a few enemies like that in prime. most had weak spots or were vulnerable to different beams and such. and missiles should always fuck shit up.
