Brash Reveals Alvin and the Chipmunks Rhythm Game

8
The recently founded Brash Entertainment dated its first publishing effort today--a video game adaptation of the forthcoming Alvin and the Chipmunks movie. The rhythm game will retail on PC, PlayStation 2, Wii, and Nintendo DS December 4, preceding the December 14 release of the combination CG and live action film.

The title will be a rhythm-based game, with the Chipmunks performing more than 40 songs, including Blink 182's "All The Small Things," Run DMC's "It's Tricky," Elvis Presley's "Heartbreak Hotel," Smashmouth's "All Star," REM's "Shiny Happy People," and the Chipmunk's own theme song.

Founded with the aim of publishing licensed games, Brash came out of stealth mode earlier this year after raising $400 million. At that time, Brash exec Bert Ellis said publishing tie-in games is "the safest, most lucrative way to sell a video game."
