Blazing Lizard Unveils Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball

18
The freshly formed development studio Blazing Lizard announced its first project today: the downloadable console title Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball. The game will appear on unannounced console download services in the first quarter of 2008.

The game pits players as pirates, ninjas, or other played out personas in eight-player online, 4-player online co-op, or 4-player offline modes. The title will make use of Infyrno, Blazing Lizard's proprietary engine, and apparently be the first of several Pirates vs. Ninjas titles.

The company released several screenshots from the title and some concept art along with the announcement. Blazing Lizard was founded by former Volition employees, known most recently for their work on Saints Row (X360).

I swear, the devs must be current or ex-Shackers.

I was talking to my wife about it, and I couldn't figure out where it came from. It's been very popular lately, but when/where did it start. I'd imagine it was older than the Internet...but maybe that's just wishful thinking.

Pretty much. If there's one pet peeve it's people who just recycle jokes over and over. I just don't get it really. I've come across many times when I'm joking around and someone says to me "omg that's so funny! I'm gonna have to use that" then they tell me when they used it. Fucking pure rage. I just think funny things should be creative and on the fly without rehashing. It just bores me so much to see catchphrases and hip comedy trends go wild. If I was married to a Family Guy quoting chick, I'd be in the paper for homicide.
