Call of Duty 4 Media

Wonder which platform this is running off of. Most likely PC, but who knows.

That was neat. But what's with animation in games? It's always jerky and never fluid. Isn't there a way to make the animation so that the people turn their heads as the body turns? I'm sure there's more to realistic animation than just that, but they look like little robots.

The initial shot of the videoclip (inpage) doesnt have anything to do with the actual video footage, why ?

One thing that annoys me in stealth games is that you are never hard to spot, at least for the AI. And it never acts realistically unless heavily scripted.

The guy was in a good position, killed that one guy and then his buddy unrealistically simply stops, spins around crouches and unloads on presumably the snipers position. In the real world, a soldier would see his comrades head explode and run for cover, not make himself an easy target by staying still. That and if you just turned around and the sniper was well camouflaged, you wouldn't have a hope in hell of locating him before the next round made its home in your face.

Those scenes from 3rd person perspective are very cool looking, but then you remember that you'll be playing in the first person perspective, so why show em? They need a replay feature for FPS's.

While the foliage and everything else looks amazing, one thing I hope they implement that isnt readily visable in the video is foliage that moves as you pass through it (depending on how fast you move through it as well). One thing that can give your position away faster than anything else is rustling bushes/grass/etc in the area you're in as you move through it, and adding this would increase the situational awareness that the game would need, which in turn would increase the immersiveness. In addition to rustling foliage though you would also have occasional rustling due to wind, which can also cause for people to stop and say "wait, what was that, did that just move?" and play into the whole concept as well.

This might be asking too much for this type of game (the other CoD games had an arcadey element to them) but would be awesome to see for more mil-sim tittles that may come out in the future, especially since this engine seems to be so very capable of allowing the player to effectively use cammoflauge

I hope they will render all that grass at full distance in multiplayer so you can actually hide in it

Okay, I didn't give a shit about this until I saw the ghillie suit. ARRGHG CALL OF DUTY I HATE YOU WHY DO YOU SUCK ME BACK IN.

Its clear to me that Ininity Ward is trying to make CoD resemble BF2 ... which is a very good thing. I like the upgrade. I hope they succeed, I can't stand EA anymore.

So is this a squad based game or a stealth based game? Or do you take on the roles of different characters during the story?

those trees and grass took no damage from that explosion. ALL THE ENEMY NEEDS TO DO IS CREATE ARMOR MADE OF TREES AND GRASS!!!

I can't wait for this game! Looks like it is going to be a blast!
