Does anyone else freak out in games if you reach an area the lets you go two different ways. I always go a little way down one route and then back track and go a little way into the other and hope one is just a dead end. It happens a lot in FEAR.

Most were mailed first class - so should arrive within the continental US within 4-5 days. I did ask if I could insure the O-Conus packages and I was told that insurance wouldn't be available. Darn that! Please be watching for your shackshirt package though if your name is listed above.

The following shackers will enjoy Brand Spanking New Shacktees because ... we ran out of the sizes you requested. The tee-shirt company folks said they've ordered your tees and will print them likely by the middle of next week ... and I'll be able to mail them immediately after because I've got your mailing envelopes all pre-addressed accordingly. So sorry for the delay though.

You know ... y'all surprised me with how many ordered tees. I thought that maybe six shackers might bite but holy cow! We completely ran out of pink tees. Another very pleasant surprise is that so many shackers bought tees for their wives and girlfirends. More than half ordered at least two and sometimes three tees. One shacker ordered four! A darn good number bought with a size spread in mind ... such as a L and XL or a M and L.

How do you guys feel about that? Is Nintendo not giving Metroid Prime 3 the attention it deserves? I know we have a couple Retro Studio guys here, care to comment?

I've said it before and I'll say it again - I feel like this game will truly prove that PC-like FPS controls are possible using the wii remote. It is definitely an important title that could attract "hardcore" gamers to the Wii from other consoles. If this game fails to succeed, I anticipate that we will not see any good original FPS games on the Wii or very few. On the other hand, if it does well, it may peak interest in 3rd parties to invest some time to develop some cool stuff.

Wow, that Strangehold demo was rather shitty.

Wtf is up with sliding over surfaces with no initial momentum at all? And the combat is so sloppy and chaotic that it lacks any sense of style and grace that Max Payne had.

I'm finding out that after finally making the switch to XP (shut up), my CPU just doesn't cut it anymore to play 1080p content. W.T.F. Mate. It was fine under 2k but I guess the additional OS overhead just kicks it to the curb. It's an Athlon 64 3000+, 939. I want to upgrade the CPU but really really don't want to have to swap out the motherboard. Is it realistic to find a speedy 939 (they seem extinct now, wtf) that will playback some smooth 1080p content? Let's say in a typical HDDVD encode or whatever the popular Apple encoding is these days (that they use in their movie trailers).

I work in a mechanic shop and I need specialty glasses or some way of protecting my current pair from harmful chemicals/scratches etc. I'm not sure safety glasses will cut it with the types of chemicals and crap that will get on them. I should in vent disposable prescription glasses :/

Do you guys ever get weird cravings for video games? I have this strange like associative thing where certain experiences will make me want to play specific games.

I literally, and I shit you not, I get a craving to play Quake 3 after sex. Specifically Q3DM17. Most people want a cigarette or a shot of liquor, and I will gladly take both of those things... while playing Quake 3. I've only been able to tactfully extricate myself from the situation and gone off to satisfy my urge a handful of times, but each time it has been glorious.

Is that really fucked up? Am I the only one?

Man. Fuck EBGames/Gamestop....

I call to preorder Bioshock CE becuase on the website you can't do store pickup preorder, instead only get it shipped, and you have to pay extra to overnight right?

Well the dude tells me I have to physically be in the store to do this. I mean, WTF, why? They already apparently cornered the Limited Edition market by paying off 2K it looks like....or at least sponsoring the edition, why cant they just take my CC num over the phone.

I hate them. I normally would just tell them to eat my balls but no where else can i get the CE edition. :(
