Tekken 5 PS3 Goes Online Later This Year

2
First revealed in mid-June, the online add-on pack for Namco Bandai's PlayStation 3 release of Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection will be available in North America later this year.

As with the core game, the add-on will be a downloadable purchase through the PS3's online PlayStation Store. Priced at $9.99, it brings online multiplayer to the game, complete with voice chat and four different modes: Opti Match, Quick Match, Custom Match, and Friend Match. An online news ticker keeps players apprised of noteworthy movement on the leaderboards. The new pack also adds Practice and Survival modes to the game, both of which were notably lacking from the original release.

The graphics on this game look pretty poor. Does it look good in motion?

depends on what you are looking for. I have always thought that tekken characters, lesser so with the capoeira characters, moved rather stiffly and robotic. I have never been a fan of the physics, especially when the very same company can make the soul calibur games with animation and physics that is soooo much more fluid. Some people don't mind the tekken style though...

Its a Port of a few year old arcade game, not a new game dev'd for the ps3s gfx capabilities. It does however look very crisp and colorful in 1080p though, and runs at 60FPS

Adding online to this already bargain PSN arcade download is awesome.

It's a PS2 game running at 1080p that costs $20 (soon to be $30 with the MP patch). It looks great in motion.
