Valve on TF2 Netcode

The guys at TFTribune have a bit of information from Valve Software on the upcoming Half-Life patch that will be changing the netcode completely to use as a test-bed for the TF2 netcode. Now we can not only ogle at TeamFortress2 screenshots, we can ogle at TeamFortress2 netcode.

[Valve Software]: The new netcode dramatically decreases the amount of bandwidth used per player, which will definitely help in large games. The main barrier to increasing match sizes then is finding maps that are fun with that many players - probably cz2 and badlands would be a good start.

Um... where, exactly, do you think internet porn (movies, specifically) come from? Can you say \"videotape\"? I knew you could. Can you say \"free\"? I knew you could. Can you say \"Who CARES about your stupid DSS hardcore two channels?\" I knew you could.

\"...real porn\"? Cmon, man, did you think before you wrote that? Geesh. It\'s like saying, \"Download MP3\'s for free? No thanks, I\'ll go listen to real music, I have an FM radio with 35 stations playing music 24/7.\"

    Think, man. Think!
